1. Founding Background (2016–2018: Foundation & Start)

Excellence Capital was founded by quantitative analysts and traders from top Wall Street banks (Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley). Leveraging extensive overseas experience and seizing emerging market opportunities, the company was registered in Shanghai in 2016 with initial capital of RMB 50 million, focusing on proprietary futures trading. Key achievements:

• 2016: Company founded; developed the first algorithmic trading system, focusing on intraday stock and futures trading.
• 2018: Achieved first profitable year with approx. RMB 10 million net profit, supported by index futures market opening.

Challenges: Early funding and technology constraints were gradually overcome via self‑financing and angel investment.

As financial markets further opened, Excellence Capital entered a rapid expansion phase. We increased R&D investment, grew the team from 10 to 50, and in 2020 established a Beijing branch focused on big data analytics and AI algorithm research. Key milestones:
